• Hypocalcemia (Milk Fever or Parturient Paresis): This is the most common indication, particularly in high-producing dairy cows around the time of calving (parturition). The condition results from a rapid drain of calcium from the bloodstream into milk production, leading to muscle weakness and potential collapse.
• Hypomagnesemia (Grass Tetany): The product is used where low blood magnesium levels are also present or expected to be present, which often occurs when animals are on rapidly growing, lush pasture.
• Phosphorus Deficiency: The magnesium hypophosphite component helps address concurrent low phosphorus levels (hypophosphatemia). 

ADMINISTRATION

• Subcutaneous injection: For less critical cases, the injection is given under the skin. The dose should be divided over several sites, such as the neck, shoulder, or over the ribs, and each area massaged gently after administration to help the medication disperse.
• Slow intravenous injection: This method is recommended for acute, severe conditions (e.g., collapsed animals), as it provides the quickest response. Intravenous administration should be performed slowly to avoid potential adverse reactions like cardiac arrhythmias, which can be fatal.
