Brucellosis vaccine is indicated for female cattle to stop Brucella abortus from causing abortions, stillbirths, or weak calves.
INDICATIONS
- Disease Prevention: The vaccine prevents infection from B. abortus and B. melitensis, the bacterial species responsible for brucellosis.
- Target Age/Sex: It is primarily for use in female cattle older than 3 months.
- In regions with high disease prevalence, animals may receive a revaccination 2 months after the first dose.
ADMINISTRATION
- Administration Route: It is specifically designed for administration via the ocular (conjunctival) route, using a single drop per dose. This method can minimize persistent antibodies associated with the traditional subcutaneous administration
- Dose: One drop
- Bovine females: Over 3 months old.
- High-prevalence areas: A single dose can be given, or revaccination may occur two months after the first dose.
