Erysipelas Rhusiopathiae vaccine used in swine, poultry, and sheep to prevent disease caused by the bacterium.
INDICATIONS
1. Swine Erysipelas (Standard ERYSENG)
Indicated for both male and female pigs to reduce clinical signs—specifically skin lesions and fever—caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae (serotypes 1 and 2).
- Onset of Immunity: Three weeks after the basic vaccination scheme is complete.
- Duration of Immunity: Six months.
2. Porcine Parvovirus (ERYSENG PARVO)
Indicated for the active immunization of female pigs (gilts and sows) to protect their offspring against transplacental infection.
- Onset of Immunity: From the beginning of the gestation period.
- Duration of Immunity: Provides fetal protection throughout the entire gestation period.
3. Leptospirosis (ERYSENG PARVO/LEPTO)
Indicated for the active immunization of pigs to prevent leptospirosis.
- Protection: It covers multiple serovars of Leptospira interrogans, including icterohaemorrhagiae, canicola, pomona, hardjo, grippotyphosa, and bratislava.
ADMINISTRATION
- Target Species: Pigs only.
- Route: Intramuscular injection, typically in the neck muscles.
- Schedule: A primary course of two injections 3–4 weeks apart is standard for pigs from 6 months of age, with revaccination recommended 2–3 weeks before each subsequent mating.
- Administration method for the HIPRA Eryseng vaccine is through intramuscular injection in the neck muscles of the pig. Prior to use, the vaccine should be at room temperature, between 15–25 °C, and shaken thoroughly.
- For pigs aged 6 months or older that have not been previously vaccinated, a series of injections with a specific interval may be recommended. The timing of the final dose in this series may be scheduled before mating.
- Following the initial vaccination, booster injections are typically recommended periodically before subsequent matings.
