Shandong Lvdu Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG) vaccine is indicated for the active immunization of healthy chickens against respiratory diseases caused by Mycoplasma Gallisepticum.A WVA Veterinary Medicine.
Shandong Lvdu Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG) vaccine is designed to protect against Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) in poultry.
INDICATIONS
Target Species: Chickens (layers and breeders).
Target Disease: Prevention of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
Purpose: Active immunization to reduce respiratory symptoms (coughing, sneezing, rales, nasal discharge), airsacculitis, and production losses (reduced egg production, feed efficiency, and weight gain) associated with MG field strain infections.
Usage Context: Often used in multiple-age flocks to help displace more virulent endemic field strains and reduce vertical transmission (from parent to progeny).
ADMINISTRATION
Eye Drop (Ocular) or Nasal Drop: The vaccine is reconstituted with a specific sterile diluent, and one drop is applied to the eye or nostril of each bird. This is highly effective as it allows the vaccine to enter via the ocular/nasal route.
Coarse Spray: The vaccine is diluted in cool, clean, non-chlorinated drinking water and applied over the birds in a closed environment as a coarse spray, typically with a particle size of 40-50 microns.
Drinking Water: While spray and eye-drop are preferred for live Mycoplasma vaccines, some live attenuated strains are administered via drinking water, though this requires careful management to ensure all birds receive a dose.
