HANVET’s Aujeszky’s Disease Vaccine is a live-attenuated vaccine designed to prevent Aujeszky’s Disease in pigs.

INDICATIONS

  • Active Immunization: It is used for the active immunization of pigs (1 month or older) to protect against respiratory, nervous, and reproductive symptoms caused by the Pseudorabies virus.
  • Disease Prevention: It is designed to prevent mortality and reduce the clinical signs associated with Aujeszky’s disease.
  • Reduced Viral Shedding: The vaccine is indicated for reducing the excretion of the Aujeszky’s disease field virus in vaccinated animals.
  • Breeding and Production Protection: It is used to protect pigs, including piglets, gilts, and sows, against the reproductive failure, mummified piglets, and stillbirths associated with the disease.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Route: Intramuscular injection, typically in the neck muscle.
  • Target Population: Healthy pigs (sows, boars, and piglets).
  • Administration Guidelines:
    • Preparation: Shake well before use. If the vaccine is freeze-dried, it must be reconstituted with the provided diluent.
    • Needle Selection:
      • Piglets: 21G x 15mm needles are typically used for young piglets up to five weeks.
      • Adults: 18G x 40mm needles are used for older pigs and sows.
