ADMINISTRATION

  • Thorough Mixing: Incorporate Monovet into the feed, ensuring uniform distribution for continuous feeding.
  • Total Mixed Ration (TMR): For dairy cows, it’s mixed into their daily feed, providing a set amount (e.g., 11-22 g/ton).
  • Type C Medicated Feed: For cattle, it can be blended into a Type C feed (a complete feed) or a Type B concentrate, then fed as a portion of the diet, sometimes mixed with grain or roughage.
  • Component Feeding: For poultry (broilers/turkeys), it’s mixed into their sole ration at specific concentrations (e.g., 100 mg/kg).
  • Continuous Feeding: Must be fed daily during the treatment period.
  • Precise Dosing: Exact levels (grams per ton of feed or mg/lb body weight) are crucial; overfeeding can reduce gains or be toxic.
  • Species Specific: Monovet is for cattle, goats, and poultry. It is highly toxic and often fatal to horses and other equines.
