Ormetoprim + Sulfamethoxine

Ormetoprim + Sulfadimethoxine an antimicrobial feed premix used to treat bacterial infections & coccidiosis in poultry, ducks, and fish.

Chickens: Prevents coccidiosis from Eimeria species and bacterial infections like infectious coryza (Haemophilus gallinarum), colibacillosis (Escherichia coli), and fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida).
Turkeys: Prevents coccidiosis from certain Eimeria species and bacterial fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida).
Ducks: Controls bacterial infections caused by Pasteurella multocida, Escherichia coli, and Riemerella anatipestifer.
Chukar Partridges: Prevents coccidiosis from Eimeria kofoidi and E. legionensis in young birds.
Fish (Salmonids and Catfish): Controls furunculosis in salmonids caused by Aeromonas salmonicida and enteric septicemia of catfish caused by Edwardsiella ictaluri.

For Dogs and Cats.

Liquid suspension: A compounded liquid form which can be measured and administered orally with a syringe or spoon.
Can be given with or without food. If the animal experiences stomach upset (vomiting) on an empty stomach, the next dose should be given with food or a small treat. It is crucial that the animal has constant access to fresh drinking water while on this medication to prevent dehydration and potential kidney issues.

For Livestock and Fish

Feed additive: The drug is mixed into the animal’s feed ration for a specific duration.
Injectable forms: In cattle, for example, forms of sulfadimethoxine can be administered intravenously (IV) or subcutaneously (SC).
