ADMINISTRATION

  1. Clean the wound: The affected area should be thoroughly cleaned of any dirt, debris, or discharge before applying the medication.
  2. Wear gloves: Wear gloves during application and wash your hands afterward to avoid contact with the product.
  3. Apply a thin layer: Apply a thin layer of the cream directly onto the lesion using a spatula or place it first on a piece of sterile gauze. Ensure the entire affected area is covered.
  4. Bandaging (Optional): A bandage or dressing can be applied over the cream if necessary.
  5. Frequency and Duration: The preparation should be in contact with the lesion for at least 24 hours. The dressing may be changed once daily, several times a day, or even once a week, depending on the wound type.
  6. Prevent Licking: Do not allow the pet to groom or lick the application site to ensure the medication stays on the wound and is not ingested. An Elizabethan collar (E-collar) may be necessary.
  7. Complete the course: Administer the medication for the entire time prescribed, even if the condition appears to be improving, to prevent recurrence or resistance.
