Virbac’s Canigen Bb is an inactivated vaccine designed for the active immunization of dogs against Bordetella bronchiseptica.
INDICATIONS
- Target Pathogen: Reduces clinical signs and bacterial shedding of Bordetella bronchiseptica.
- Usage Context: Provides an alternative to intranasal vaccines, suitable for dogs that are difficult to vaccinate via the nose.
- Administration: Administered via subcutaneous injection.
- Onset/Duration: Onset of immunity is 2 weeks post-vaccination, with a duration of 7 months.
- Compatibility: Can be administered alongside other Virbac Canigen vaccines, including DHP, DHPPi, Pi, and Lepto 4.
ADMINISTRATION
Virbac’s Canigen Bb is an inactivated vaccine for dogs against
Bordetella bronchiseptica, administered via subcutaneous injection in a 1mL dose. It is designed for dogs from 6 weeks of age, requiring a primary series of two doses (4 weeks apart) or as a single booster to maintain immunity.
- Route: Subcutaneous (under the skin).
- Dosage: (1 dose) per injection.
- Primary Vaccination: Two doses, typically 4 weeks apart, from 6 weeks old.
- Re-vaccination: A single annual dose is sufficient for continued protection.
- Usage with other vaccines: Canigen Bb can be administered concurrently (as a separate injection) with other Virbac vaccines.
- Preparation: Shake well before use and allow to reach room temperature.
