Boehringer Ingelheim Vetera Gold XP is a comprehensive, inactivated (killed) vaccine indicated for the active immunization of healthy horses, against six major diseases :
  • Eastern and Western encephalomyelitis
  • West Nile Virus
  • Tetanus
  • Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1 & EHV-4)
  • Equine Influenza (EIV)

Boegringer Vetera Gold XP is a killed-virus combination vaccine indicated for the vaccination of healthy horses and foal against several equine pathogens.

INDICATIONS

  • West Nile Virus (WNV): Aids in the prevention of viremia, mortality, and clinical disease.
  • Equine Influenza Virus (EIV): Aids in reducing respiratory disease and viral shedding caused by A2 strains, including Florida Clade 1 and 2.
  • Equine Herpesvirus (EHV-1/EHV-4): Aids in reducing respiratory disease.
  • Eastern & Western Encephalomyelitis (EEE/WEE): Aids in prevention.
  • Tetanus: Aids in prevention.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Method: Intramuscular injection.
  • Dosage: 1 mL
  • Initial Series: A primary 1 mL dose followed by a second 1 mL dose 3-4 weeks later.
  • Site: Common locations include the neck muscles, pectoral muscles, or hindquarters. Use a different injection site for the second dose.
  • Preparation: Shake well before use.
  • Age/Safety: Safe for horses 4 months of age and older, including pregnant mares.
  • Frequency: Annual revaccination is generally recommended
