EMDOKA brand Halagon (halofuginone) is used to prevent or reduce diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum in newborn calves. Given orally once a day for one week after feeding.
- Prevention: Administer within 24 to 48 hours of birth, or the start of diarrhea
- Mechanism: Active ingredient halofuginone prevents the growth of C. parvum
