INDICATIONS

  • Bacterial GI Infections: Treatment of acute bacterial diarrhea, gastroenteritis, colitis, and enterocolitis.
  • Chronic Enteropathy in Dogs: Used as an alternative to metronidazole for managing chronic intestinal diseases.
  • Hepatic Encephalopathy (General Vet Use): Used to reduce ammonia-producing bacteria in the gut.
  • Bacterial Diarrhoea (General Vet Use): Used in the treatment of traveler’s diarrhea-like symptoms and infections caused by non-enteroinvasive E. coli.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Method of Delivery: It is administered orally, typically in bolus or tablet form.
  • Timing: It can generally be given with or without food.
