Neomycin is indicated for the treatment and control of colibacillosis (bacterial enteritis) caused by Escherichia coli susceptible to neomycin sulfate in cattle, swine, sheep and goats. Prescribed to treat enteritis as well as diarrhea in poultry and livestock caused by aerobic gram-negative bacteria. Dosage and administration:
Poultry
- 1 L in 4000 L of drinking water beginning from day 1 up to two weeks for 3-5 days.
- 1 L in 3000 L of drinking water beginning from week 3 up to week 5 for 3-5 days.
- 1 L in 2000-2500 L of drinking water beginning from week 6 up to the end of growth period for 3-5 days.
Turkey
- 1 L in 2500 L of drinking water beginning from day 1 up to day 7 for 3-5 days.
- 1 L in 1500 L of drinking water beginning from week 2 up to the end of week 8 for 3-5 days.
- 1 L in 1200 L of drinking water beginning from week 9 up to 26th week for 3-5 days.
Calf, sheep and goat
- 11 ml of solution per 100 kg body weight (22 mg Neomycin sulfate per kg body weight) in drinking water for 3-5 days.
