Synanthic Bovine Dewormer (oxfendazole) is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic indicated for the control of internal parasites in beef and dairy cattle.
INDICATIONS
Synanthic targets lungworms, various stomach worms (including Brown Stomach, Barberpole, and Small Stomach worms), and intestinal parasites such as Nodular, Hookworms, and Small Intestinal worms. It also aids in the removal of adult Tapeworms.
ADMINISTRATION
Administered orally to cattle using a dose syringe.
- Shake well: The suspension must be shaken well immediately prior to use to ensure proper concentration.
- Determine proper dose: The dose is based on the animal’s body weight. It is recommended to use scales to get an accurate weight to prevent underdosing, which can lead to parasite resistance.
- Dosage rate: The correct dosage is 1 mL of the suspension for every 110 lbs (50 kg) of body weight.
- Use an oral dose syringe: An accurate dose syringe, such as a dial-a-dose applicator, is used to place the product into the animal’s mouth.
- Secure the animal: The process is easier if the animal is properly restrained, for example, in a chute or headgate.
- Administer: Place the tip of the syringe into the corner of the animal’s mouth and depress the plunger to administer the dose.
