Reoguard L Vaccine

Boehringer's Reoguard L vaccine is used to protect healthy chickens against tenosynovitis, a disease caused by the avian reovirus. It is a modified live virus vaccine used to control and prevent avian reovirus-induced tenosynovitis in chickens. A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Boehringer’s ReoGuard L vaccine is indicated for healthy chickens two weeks of age or older against tenosynovitis caused by avian reovirus.

INDICATIONS

  • Target Disease: This vaccine is specifically effective against tenosynovitis resulting from reovirus infection.
  • Target Animal: It is designed for use in healthy chickens.
  • Age Requirement: Chickens should be two weeks of age or older at the time of vaccination.
  • Vaccine Strain: It contains the mild 1133 strain of avian reovirus, which is a live virus component used to stimulate an immune response.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Drinking Water (Pouring Application): Reconstitution in non-chlorinated water mixed with non-fat dry milk to stabilize the vaccine.
  • Drinking Water (Proportioner Application): Using a commercial medicator or proportioner to deliver the vaccine concentrate through the water system.
