Enramycin Premix

Enramycin Premix is used as a feed additive used in poultry and pigs to promote growth, improve feed efficiency, and prevent bacterial infections, primarily from Clostridium perfringens. The powder is mixed directly into animal feed, at a specified rate per ton. A WOAH Veterinary Medicine.

Enramycin Premix is indicated to prevent and treat Gram-positive bacterial infections, primarily Necrotic Enteritis in poultry and swine.

INDICATIONS

  • Disease Prevention: Prevents necrotic enteritis (NE) in poultry and swine, a common bacterial gut disease.
  • Treats Gram-Positive Infections: Effective against Clostridium perfringens, Streptococcus, and Staphylococcus species.
  • Growth Promotion: Improves feed conversion, increases weight gain, and enhances overall growth performance.
  • Gut Health Improvement: Modulates gut microbiota, reduces diarrhea (wet droppings), and helps control secondary infections in coccidiosis.
  • Reduced Ammonia: Depresses ammonia-producing organisms, lowering ammonia levels in the gut and house. 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Mixing: The premix needs to be thoroughly and uniformly dispersed within the total feed ration.
  • Method: Use a multi-stage mixing process or incorporate it into a vitamin/mineral premix to ensure even distribution.
  • Formulation: It can be used as a powder or granulated into pellets for better handling and stability in feed processing.
  • Target Animals: Commonly used in poultry and swine (like piglets) to control Clostridium perfringens and improve feed conversion.
  • Dosage: A common dose for piglets is around 200g per ton of feed.
