INDICATIONS

• Respiratory infections: Kitasamycin Tartrate is used to treat and prevent respiratory diseases in pigs and poultry, such as bacterial pneumonia and CRD.
• Gastrointestinal issues: It helps treat enteritis and diarrhea caused by bacteria like Clostridium and E. coli.
• Growth promotion: As a feed additive, it can be used to improve growth performance and feed conversion ratio in poultry.
• Treats infections from specific bacteria: It is effective against Gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus. It is also active against some Gram-negative bacteria, mycoplasmas, and Leptospira.

ADMINISTRATION

• In Drinking Water: This is a common method for administering the medication to poultry, pigs, calves, and lambs in group settings. The powder is water-soluble and designed to be easily dissolved in the animals’ water supply to ensure they receive a proper dosage.
• Mixed with Feed: For livestock and pigs, the powder can also be thoroughly mixed with a specific amount of feed, using existing mixing technologies, for the duration of the treatment period.
• Individual Dosing: For smaller animals like dogs and cats, or individual treatment of livestock, the appropriate dosage is often calculated based on body weight and given with water or potentially compounded into a liquid solution.
