NAFCIVET-DC is an intramammary treatment used for the prevention of mastitis in cows.
INDICATIONS
- Purpose: A triple-action intramammary treatment used for the treatment of mastitis in cows during their dry (non-lactating) period.
- Active Ingredients: Each syringe contains a combination of three antibiotics:
- Procaine Benzylpenicillin (300 mg)
- Dihydrostreptomycin (100 mg)
- Nafcillin (100 mg)

ADMINISTRATION
- Prepare the Udder:
- Milk the infected quarter(s) completely dry.
- Wash the udder and teats with warm water and a suitable dairy antiseptic.
- Dry thoroughly with individual paper towels.
- Clean and disinfect the teat end and orifice with a provided alcohol swab (70% isopropyl alcohol) and let it dry.
- Infuse the Medication:
- Break off the tip of the syringe’s protective cap (for partial insertion) or remove the entire cap (for full insertion).
- Carefully insert the syringe tip into the teat canal.
- Gently and slowly squeeze the entire contents of the syringe into the quarter.
- Post-Infusion:
- Withdraw the syringe and gently massage the teat and udder to help distribute the medicine.
- Repeat treatment as directed (e.g., every 12-24 hours for up to 3 doses).
- Apply a teat dip to all teats after treatment for hygiene.
