Eimeria maxima vaccine is indicated for active immunization of healthy chickens to prevent or reduce the clinical signs, intestinal lesions, and economic losses associated with avian coccidiosis.
INDICATIONS
- Disease Prevention: Protects against coccidiosis caused by Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria maxima, and Eimeria tenella.
- Target Audience: Healthy chickens, one day old or older, primarily for broiler production.
- Immunity Stimulation: Contains live Eimeria oocysts that replicate in the gut to build strong, natural immunity.
- Antibiotic-Free Support: Serves as a biological strategy in programs aiming to reduce or eliminate antibiotic use.
- Broad Spectrum: Covers the most commercially significant Eimeria species
ADMINISTRATION
The ADVENT Live Coccidiosis Vaccine is an oral vaccine for broiler chickens, typically given at the hatchery via spray cabinet application.
- Spray Cabinet: Vials are diluted (e.g., 10,000 doses to 2,500 mL with sterile water for some systems) and sprayed onto chicks as they pass through the cabinet, often with a green dye to encourage oral intake.
- On-Feed: The vaccine is diluted (e.g., 10,000 doses to 4,000 mL) and sprayed evenly over the surface of the first feed chicks receive.
