Vaxxinova’s Vaxxon Coccivet R vaccine is a live attenuated, heptavalent (7-strain) vaccine that protects against Eimeria praecox.

INDICATIONS

  • Target Species: Layer and breeder chickens (long-cycle birds).
  • Protection Spectrum: Protects against Eimeria acervulina, E. brunetti, E. máxima, E. necatrix, E. praecox, E. tenella, and E. mitis.
  • Disease Prevention: Specifically aimed at preventing damages (diarrhea, enteritis, and reduced nutrient absorption) caused by intestinal coccidiosis.
  • Production Benefits: Used to improve weight uniformity in the rearing phase and enhance zootechnical indices in egg production.
  • Drug Sensitization: Helps revitalize the sensitivity of Eimeria to anticoccidial drugs.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Ocular (Eye Drop): The vaccine can be used as an ocular diluent, where a suspension of the vaccine is applied directly into the bird’s eye.
  • Oral (Drinking Water): It can be administered via drinking water, allowing for mass vaccination while still achieving individual immunization effects.
  • Spray: The vaccine is often applied using spray cabinets in hatcheries to day-old chicks, ensuring uniform coverage through a coarse spray.
  • In Ovo: Modern applications include inoculation directly into 18-day-old embryonated eggs before hatching.
