• Poultry (Broilers, Layers, Chickens): Used to treat and prevent Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD), colibacillosis, salmonellosis, necrotic enteritis, and pasteurellosis.
• Livestock (Pigs/Swine): Indicated for respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital infections, as well as spirochetosis and mycoplasma infections.
• Broad-Spectrum Coverage: Acts as a bactericidal agent against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Staphylococci and Streptococci.
• Ophthalmic Use (Small Animals): Levofloxacin ophthalmic solution is used off-label in dogs and cats to treat bacterial eye infections (conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers). 

ADMINISTRATION

• Mixed in Drinking Water: For treating a group of animals (herd or flock), the solution is often mixed into the drinking water. This ensures that the animals consume the medication as they drink.
• Direct Dosing: In some cases, the solution can be administered directly to individual animals. 
• Water as Sole Source: When mixed with drinking water, the medicated water should be the only source of water available to the animals during the treatment period.
• Fresh Preparation: The medicated water or solution for direct dosing should be freshly prepared for consumption and used within a specific timeframe, typically 24 hours.
• Duration of Treatment: The duration of treatment is generally for a consecutive period, ranging from 3 to 5 days.
• Withdrawal Periods: There are specific withdrawal periods for meat from treated animals.
