TUR-3 Vaccine

Boehringer's TUR-3 vaccine is a killed virus vaccine for breeder turkeys used to protect against Avian Rhinotracheitis (TRT), Newcastle Disease (ND), and Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV). A WVA Veterinary Medicine.

Boehringer’s TUR-3 vaccine is indicated for breeder turkeys to boost immunity against Avian Rhinotracheitis (TRT), Newcastle Disease (ND), and Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) Type B.

INDICATIONS

Active Immunization: For future breeder turkeys, not layers.
Booster: Used after initial live vaccines for ND and TRT.
Reduces Disease Impact:
- Newcastle Disease: Reduces mortality and clinical signs.
- Turkey Rhinotracheitis: Boosts immunity against TRT.
- Paramyxovirus Type 3 (APMV-3): Prevents ‘egg drop’ and maintains seroconversion during laying.
Target Species: Turkeys (2 weeks old and older).

ADMINISTRATION

Route: Intramuscular route.
Dose: One 0.3 ml dose per injection.
Target Species: Future breeder turkeys. It is not recommended for birds currently in lay.
Preparation: The product should be removed from the refrigerator and allowed to reach room temperature before use. It must be shaken well before use.
Primary Vaccination: One injection is given 8 to 10 weeks before the beginning of lay.
Booster Vaccination: Another injection is given 2 to 4 weeks before the beginning of lay.
