• Prevention of Coccidiosis: The primary indication is the prevention of clinical and subclinical coccidiosis in commercial turkeys caused by E. meleagrimitis.
• Disease Symptoms Targeted: E. meleagrimitis primarily affects the duodenum and jejunum, causing watery contents, mucoid exudate, and potentially severe issues like a thickened intestinal wall, hemorrhage, and necrosis. The vaccine helps prevent these lesions and associated symptoms such as dehydration, decreased feed intake, poor feed conversion, and reduced body weight gain.
• Development of Immunity: Vaccination with live oocysts allows for the natural development of protective immunity through repeated exposure and recycling of the oocysts within the bird’s environment.

ADMINISTRATION

The vaccine is prepared and administered in a mass application method, typically in a hatchery setting: 

1. Prepare the Gel: A specific amount of dry gel diluent (e.g., 70 g for 10,000 doses) is added to cold (2-8°C) distilled water (e.g., 2.5 L) and mixed thoroughly using a blender.
2. Mix the Vaccine: The Immucox T vaccine vial is shaken well, and its contents are added to the prepared gel mixture. The combined mixture is then blended to ensure the oocysts are evenly suspended.
3. Administer the Dose: The mixture is applied to the birds (turkeys) using a specialized gel administration machine at a ratio of 25 mL for every 100 birds.
