HIPRABOVIS SOMNI/Lkt by HIPRA is an inactivated vaccine used to reduce clinical signs, mortality, and lung lesions caused by Mannheimia haemolytica

INDICATIONS

• Target Species: Cattle and calves (from 2 months old).
• Purpose: Active immunization to reduce mortality, clinical signs, and lung lesions from M. haemolytica and H. somni.
• Administration: Subcutaneous injection, preferably in the neck region.
• Dosage: 2 ml per animal. Initial vaccination requires two doses, with the second dose administered 21 days after the first.
• Safety: The vaccine can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
• Withdrawal Period: Zero days. 

ADMINISTRATION

• Route: Subcutaneous (SC) injection.
• Site: Prescapular area (neck region).
• Dosage: 2 mL per animal.
• Protocol: Primary vaccination at 2 months of age, followed by a second dose 21 days later.
• Site Management: It is preferable to administer the second dose on the opposite side (alternate sides) of the animal.
• Preparation: Shake well and allow the emulsion to reach 15-20 degrees C before injection.
• Precautions: For use in healthy animals only; may cause transient swelling at the injection site.
