INDICATIONS

- Primary Purpose: Vaccination is indicated to prevent the clinical signs of AE, including tremors, ataxia, and neurological symptoms in young chicks.
- Breeder Protection: It is used to vaccinate breeder flocks to prevent vertical transmission of the virus, thereby providing maternal immunity to progeny for the first few weeks of life.

ADMINISTRATION
- Wing-Web Stab Method (Recommended):
- Preparation: The lyophilized (freeze-dried) vaccine is reconstituted with a sterile diluent, usually 10ml for 1000 doses.
- Application: A double-needle applicator is dipped into the reconstituted vaccine and used to pierce the web of one wing, delivering @ 0.01 ml.
- Precautions: Avoid large blood vessels, bones, and muscles. Vaccinate in the same wing for consistency.
- Drinking Water Method:
- The vaccine is mixed into clean, cool, chlorine-free drinking water.
- Birds are typically deprived of water for 1–2 hours prior to vaccination to ensure they drink the mixture promptly.
